Organise your own fundraising
Bake for us
Here are some tips for how to run a baking event to fundraise for Guy's and St Thomas'.
How to make your event run smoothly
1. Choose a date and venue
Decide on a date and time that suits you and choose where you want to hold it. Depending on the scale of your event you could hold it at work, home, the village hall or your children’s school.
2. Gather the troops
Whether it’s baking, buying, setting up or the clean up, many hands make light work so get your friends involved.
3. Shout about it
Now you need to get people along to your baking event. Use the posters and invites in this pack to spread the word about your cake sale. Use Facebook and Twitter to remind people of the date. Tweet us @supportgstt to share with your fellow Guy's and St Thomas' supporters.
4. Get baking
You can’t have a cake sale without some tasty treats so grab your ingredients and start baking. Recipes for brownies or flapjacks are available for free online, are easy to bake and don't take long to make!
5. Buy, sell and eat
Display your cakes in their full glory and watch them sell like hot cakes! Once you’re full to the brim and have swept up the last few crumbs, send in your donations to us using the form in this pack. Don’t forget to send us photos of your wonderful creations by email email@example.com!
